Bio
The Mountaineers welcome back Kevin Smith as their field manager in 2026. Smith is the former Director of Player Development/Pitching Coordinator at SUNY-Cortland under Joe Brown – a familiar name to Mountaineers’ fans, as he served as the team’s field manager from 2013-2016 and led the team to its most recent NECBL title in 2015.
Smith played his collegiate career at Stetson University and La Salle University and has experience playing pro- fessionally. He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army with 22 years’ experience. Smith has also worked as an Associate Scout for several MLB teams and also works as a motivational speaker.
