Nick Barron grounded out in the top of the 1st, but sent home Carter Bentley to put the Sharks up early.

Bryce Rudisill became the fifth Mountaineers batter this season to hit a home run. He launched a 361-foot shot over the right field wall in the 2nd inning to tie the game.

Alex Benevento scored after a pitch got away on a Sebastian Collender walk to give Vermont their first lead in the home half of the 4th.

Martha's Vineyard knotted the contest up in the 5th on a sac fly to center field from Wesley Scott off reliever Nick Falla.

Benevento blasted another home run off of new Sharks pitcher Jake Lodgek to give the Mountaineers the lead again.

The Sharks plated two runs courtesy of a Jackson Taylor two-run RBI. Nick Falla was credited with the runs despite Max Weber replacing the San Diego State product.

David Alvarez singled in the bottom of the 9th, but was caught out at 2nd base. Martha's Vineyard closer Alex Grant struck out the next two batters to secure the win.
