The Mountaineers put one runner around in the top of the 1st against Keene starter Ryan Bailey. Matthew Minckler stole home after a throwdown to Brayden Leonard at second base was unsuccessful.

Jackson Smith towered his first home run of the season for Keene in the bottom of the 1st to tie the contest.

Charlie Meglio knocked an RBI in the following inning to give the SwampBats their first lead of the night.

Chris Polemeni blasted another home run to center field to grow the advantage to 3-1 after three innings.
