Vermont grabbed the lead in the 1st inning after an unsuccessful throwdown to second base on a steal allowed Alex Benevento to come home.

The Mountaineers defense stepped up in the home half by forcing a double play with the bases loaded.

After a leadoff double from Hudson Ellis, Hunter Kingsbury sent the designated hitter home to even the game after three innings.

Mountaineers starter Andrew Tringe walked Ellis with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 4th to give North Shore a 2-1 advantage.

Benevento registered a sac fly to tie the game at two runs each in the top of the 5th.

Michael Brown batted home Tyler Shulman through the first two of the bottom of the 6th inning. The first multi-run lead of the game came from the Navigators when Ellis delivered his second RBI and second double of the evening.

Shulman put another run on the board in the 7th inning with a sac fly to center field that brought Simmi Whitehill around.

Cam Freeman got the save to hold the Vermont offense and secure the Navigators' first home win of the season.
