Mountaineers Win Fifth Straight, 10-4, Over Holyoke
Vermont's offense scored double digit wins for the third straight night en route to a 10-4 victory at home over Holyoke in New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) action on Saturday night. The win was the fifth straight for the Mountaineers (17-16) who moved above .500 for the first time since a July 3 victory over the Blue Sox (14-21).

Mountaineers Win Fourth Straight, 11-5, at Holyoke
For the second straight night the Vermont Mountaineers belted out 11 runs as they defeated the Holyoke Blue Sox 11-5 in New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) action on Thursday night. The win was the fourth straight for Vermont (16-16) and helped them clinch a tiebreaker over the Blue Sox (12-20) for any playoff position.

The Mountaineers offense pounded out 11 runs on 13 hits while Casey Delgado pitched seven solid innings to lead Vermont (15-16) to an 11-4 win at North Adams in New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) action on Wednesday night. The win was Vermont's third in a row and their third straight victory over the SteepleCats (18-15).

Haines Dominates In Weather Shortened Win
Alex Haines (Greensboro, Pa./Seton Hill) pitched six scoreless innings and struck out a season high 10 batters as Vermont defeated North Adams 2-0 in a weather shortened six in contest in New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) action on Tuesday. The game was called in the bottom of the sixth with one on and one out for the Mountaineers (14-16) after lighting and rain in the area forced the early final.

First baseman Rob Kelly (Santa Margarita, Calif./Saint Anselm) launched two homeruns and racked up six RBI, setting Vermont's single season and career RBI records, as the Mountaineers (13-16) defeated the Laconia Muskrats 14-12 in New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) action on Sunday night. The win snapped a brief two game losing streak for Vermont and ended a two game win streak for Laconia.

The Vermont Mountaineers had the tying run in scoring position but Aaron Barbosa grounded out to second base to end the game as another ninth inning rally came up empty in a 7-6 loss to Keene in New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) action on Tuesday night. The loss was the fourth in their last five games for Vermont (11-13) as the Swamp Bats improved to a league best 20-6 on the year.
